Custom Hats in Boise, Meridian & Nampa, Idaho

Eagle Ridge Apparel embroiders and builds custom hats in-house at our Meridian, Idaho shop, about 10 minutes from downtown Boise and 15 from Nampa. We have no minimums, so you can order a single hat or a few hundred, and digitizing your logo is free on every order.

Embroidered caps generally run $12 to $32 depending on the blank, premium leather patch hats $22 to $38, and embroidered beanies $12 to $18. Most orders are ready in 3 to 5 business days, with same-day rush available on in-stock blanks.

Eagle Ridge holds a 4.9 star rating across 76 Google reviews and has decorated hats in the Treasure Valley for 7 years.

Common ask: 36 Richardson 112 truckers, a clean two-color logo, hats needed before a job fair Friday. Logo digitized Tuesday morning, all 36 embroidered and bagged by Thursday afternoon. That's the rhythm of the shop — small-batch trucker hats for trades, crews, and small businesses, with a fast turn when it actually matters.

Eagle Ridge has been decorating hats in the Treasure Valley for seven years. The mix is wide: trucker hats and snapbacks for crews and teams, leather patch hats for outdoor brands and small businesses, flex-fit performance caps for golf and athletic groups, embroidered beanies for winter events and church groups. The range is broad, but the process is the same — you tell us what you want, we give you a real price within 30 minutes, and we get it done on time.

Hat styles we run

We stock and source most major blanks in-house. If you have a specific style number you want, send it over and we'll confirm availability before quoting.

The Richardson 112 — Our Most Requested Hat

Six-panel structured front, mesh back, snapback closure. The 112 holds embroidery better than almost anything else we work with — the front panel is firm enough to hoop cleanly without puckering, and the mesh back keeps it comfortable in an Idaho summer. This is the go-to for construction companies, restaurants, real estate brokerages, and any business that wants a hat that actually looks like a logo, not a suggestion. Available in 60+ color combinations.

The Flexfit 110 — Best for Active and Athletic Brands

Soft-structure stretch-fit with a mesh back. Worn in without the rigid shape of a trucker, fits most heads without a snapback adjustment. Athletic teams, gyms, outdoor recreation brands, and anyone who wears their hat for 10 hours straight tend to prefer this one. Embroiders well on the front panel. Also available in full-fabric Flexfit 6277 if you want zero mesh.

The New Era 9FORTY — Premium Streetwear Feel

Adjustable strap, slightly curved brim, lower profile than a trucker. If your brand skews younger or more fashion-forward, the 9FORTY reads premium in a way a standard trucker doesn't. Common for breweries, coffee shops, gyms, and brands that sell retail merch alongside uniforms. Runs $22-32 embroidered, so it's not the budget pick, but the quality shows.

Snapbacks, Dad Hats & 5-Panel Caps

Snapbacks give you a flat brim option without the structured trucker shape. Dad hats (unstructured, curved brim, adjustable strap) are popular for casual retail merch. Five-panel caps are the pick for DTF printing when you need a full-color or photographic design on a flat front. We stock several blanks across these categories — ask us what we have when you call.

Beanies & Performance Caps

Beanies are one of our best values: embroidered beanies run $12-18 per piece at most quantities, and they hold up beautifully. Popular for winter events, fundraisers, and job-site staff. Performance caps (moisture-wicking, breathable crowns) are the right choice for golf tournaments and outdoor sporting events. We've done several runs for Eagle and Meridian golf scrambles over the years.

Leather Patch Hats — The Premium Upgrade

We laser-cut and laser-engrave real leather patches in-house, then sew them directly onto Richardson 112 truckers and snapbacks. The look is cleaner than embroidery, more tactile, and has a premium weight to it that people notice. Breweries, outfitters, ranches, and hospitality brands gravitate toward this. Read the full breakdown on our leather patch hats page.

Decoration methods on hats

Four methods, each with a different look and price point. The right one depends on your design, your hat style, and your budget — and we'll tell you straight which one wins for your job.

Embroidery
Thread sewn directly into the fabric. Raised, textured, durable — outlasts the hat. Works on every hat style we carry. Best for logos with clean lines and up to 8-10 colors.
Best for: most company logos, team hats, restaurant and construction crews
Leather Patch
Laser-cut genuine leather, laser-engraved design, sewn onto the front panel. Premium look and feel — the upgrade pick when the hat is a brand statement, not just a uniform.
Best for: breweries, outfitters, gift-quality runs, hospitality brands
DTF Printing
Full-color heat transfer film applied to fabric. No setup fee, no stitch-count pricing, photographic detail possible. Works best on flat-front 5-panel caps — not ideal on structured trucker fronts.
Best for: full-color or photographic designs, flat-front styles
Screen Print
Ink pushed through a mesh screen onto the fabric. Best for high-quantity runs where you want consistent, vibrant flat-color coverage. Minimum quantities apply for screen setup to make sense economically.
Best for: large runs, flat-color designs, cost-conscious bulk orders

Same-day hat embroidery in Meridian

For orders under 24 pieces, when your logo is already digitized in our system (or is simple enough to turn around in an hour), we can have embroidered hats done same day. Call us by 11 AM MT at (208) 330-1601 and we'll tell you what's doable that day.

Honestly, same-day runs aren't the norm — we'd rather you have a couple of days so we can nail the details. But we've done it for last-minute trade shows, game-day league hats, and event giveaways more times than we can count. We won't promise what we can't deliver.

Leather patch hats need 24-48 hours rush minimum, even for small quantities — the laser engraving and sewing time is fixed regardless of how many you order. DTF on flat-front caps can also be same-day in most cases.

Full turnaround guide: standard embroidery 3-5 business days, leather patch 5-7 business days, rush embroidery 24-48 hours or same-day, rush leather patch 24-48 hours. See our rush orders page for the complete timing matrix.

Where we serve across the Treasure Valley

We're at 2700 E Lanark St in Meridian, right off the Meridian/Boise border near the Ten Mile Interchange. Easy to get to from anywhere in the valley. Most customers pick up in person — we're open Monday through Friday during business hours.

We work with businesses and organizations across every corner of the Treasure Valley:

Boise Meridian Nampa Eagle Caldwell Kuna Star Emmett

Nampa customers: we're about 15 minutes east on I-84. We have customers from Nampa pick up here regularly — the drive is worth it to work with a shop that's actually doing the work in-house, not shipping your hats to a fulfillment warehouse in another state.

Can't get here? We ship finished hats anywhere in Idaho or the Northwest via UPS or USPS. Just tell us your deadline and we'll build the turnaround accordingly.

Who orders custom hats from Eagle Ridge

The range is wide. Construction and trades companies are our most consistent hat customers — Richardson 112 with a company logo, usually 24-100 pieces at a time, given to crew members and left in the work truck. Restaurants and breweries are close behind, often for staff uniforms and retail merch sold at the bar.

Youth sports leagues across Meridian, Nampa, and Eagle have us run team hats every season — baseball, softball, soccer, and football. A typical youth sports order is 15-25 Richardson 112s with an embroidered team name and year. Real estate brokerages order closing-gift hats and agent giveaways. Churches run mission-trip beanies in winter. Golf tournaments and country clubs order performance caps. Corporate events and conferences order welcome-kit hats.

Outdoor brands and outfitters are probably our most creative hat customers. Leather patch hats for Boise and Treasure Valley outfitter brands have been some of our favorite jobs — the finished product looks like it came from a premium outdoor retailer, and it did (us).

Frequently asked questions

What's the minimum order for custom hats?

No minimum. We'll embroider a single hat. Per-piece price is highest on singles and drops meaningfully at 12, 24, and 48+ pieces. Most small businesses start with a 12-piece run to test the design before going bigger.

How long does a custom hat order take?

Standard turnaround is 3-5 business days after art approval for embroidered hats. Leather patch hats take 5-7 business days. Rush is available — same-day for simple embroidery orders under 24 pieces when your logo is on file and you call by 11 AM MT.

Can I supply my own hats for embroidery?

Yes. Bring them to our Meridian shop at 2700 E Lanark St or ship them to us. We check every customer-supplied hat for hooping compatibility before running — some structured caps and very stiff visors need a different hoop setup. If a hat won't work, we'll tell you before we touch it.

What's the best hat style for a company logo?

Richardson 112 trucker for corporate-casual and construction — the front panel holds embroidery without puckering and the mesh back is comfortable year-round. Flexfit 110 for athletic and active brands. New Era 9FORTY when you want a more premium streetwear look. Performance caps for golf or outdoor outfitter work. We'll tell you which one fits your brand when you call.

Do you offer leather patch hats?

Yes — laser-cut and laser-engraved real leather patches sewn onto Richardson 112 truckers and snapbacks. Very popular with Treasure Valley breweries, outfitters, and hospitality brands. See our leather patch hats page for pricing and process details.

Do you embroider hats in Nampa?

We're in Meridian — about 15 minutes from most of Nampa via I-84. Nampa customers pick up in-store or we ship locally. We work with businesses across Nampa, Caldwell, and the west Treasure Valley regularly.

Is digitizing free?

Yes, free in-house digitizing on every hat order. Most shops charge $40-80 for this. We include it because a bad digitize ruins the hat and we'd rather control that ourselves. Your file stays on file so repeat orders are fast.

Can you do same-day hat embroidery?

Yes, for orders under 24 pieces when your logo is already on file or simple enough to digitize in an hour. Call us by 11 AM MT at (208) 330-1601 and we'll confirm what's possible that day. We've done game-day runs for Boise-area youth sports leagues more times than we can count.

What decoration looks best on a Richardson 112?

Embroidery is the classic pick — raised, textured, lasts the lifetime of the hat. Leather patches are the premium upgrade, popular for brands that want a more upscale look. DTF printing isn't ideal on structured trucker fronts — it's better suited to flat-front 5-panel caps. We'll match the method to your design and tell you which one delivers the best result.

Do you work with youth sports leagues?

Constantly. Team hats are one of our most common hat orders — usually Richardson 112 truckers with an embroidered team name and year, sometimes with a number on the side. No minimums means small rosters are no problem. We work with baseball, softball, and soccer leagues throughout Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, and Boise.

Ready to get started?

Send your design, quantity, and deadline — we'll get you a real per-piece price within 30 minutes during business hours. No commitment, no minimums, free digitizing.
