Custom T-Shirts in Boise, Done Right
Most print shops in the Boise area want you to order 24 shirts minimum before they'll even talk pricing. Eagle Ridge Apparel, based in Meridian on the Ten Mile corridor, doesn't work that way. One shirt or 500 — the answer is yes, and the quote is free.
We've been printing and embroidering custom apparel in the Treasure Valley for seven years. In that time we've run everything from single Boise State alumni tees to 400-piece company uniforms for construction crews across Nampa and Caldwell. What follows is a straight answer to the questions we hear every week: What does it cost? How fast can you do it? What printing method should I use?
Custom T-Shirt Pricing in Boise: What It Actually Costs
Pricing depends on the printing method, the shirt blank, and how many you need. Here's an honest range:
- DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing on a standard Bella+Canvas or Gildan tee, 1–11 shirts: expect $18–$28 per shirt, depending on design complexity. No setup fee, ever.
- DTF at 12–47 shirts: typically $12–$18 per shirt. The per-unit cost drops noticeably once you're past a dozen.
- Screen printing at 48+ shirts: this is where screen printing takes over on cost. Simple one- or two-color designs on 48 shirts run roughly $7–$11 per shirt, depending on ink colors and garment choice.
- Embroidered chest logos on polos or performance tees: $12–$20 per piece at low quantities, with free digitizing on your first run (that's typically a $40–$75 value other shops charge upfront).
Those ranges assume standard blanks. If you want premium options — Nike Dri-FIT, Comfort Colors, or heavyweight 6 oz. tees — the garment cost goes up, but the decoration pricing stays the same. We'll always show you the full breakdown before you commit to anything.
Which Printing Method Is Right for Your Order?
This is the question worth spending a minute on, because the wrong method can cost you money or hurt your final product.
DTF Printing
DTF printing is our go-to for full-color logos, detailed artwork, gradient designs, or small-run orders. The transfer is heat-pressed directly onto the fabric, it holds up through repeated washes, and there's no minimum order — print one if that's what you need. For a Boise startup that needs 10 branded shirts for a trade show at Expo Idaho, DTF is almost always the right call.
Screen Printing
Screen printing is the traditional method, and it still wins on cost at higher quantities. If you're outfitting a 60-person crew for a Treasure Valley 5K or ordering event shirts for Meridian Dairy Days, screen printing at 48 or more pieces brings the per-unit price down in a way DTF can't match. The trade-off: it works best with simpler, spot-color artwork rather than photorealistic prints. Learn more about screen printing at Eagle Ridge.
Embroidery
Embroidery is the right choice when you want something that looks and feels elevated — polos for a sales team, hats for a golf tournament, or branded fleeces for a Treasure Valley nonprofit. It reads as more professional than a printed logo in most corporate settings. And because we offer free digitizing on the first run, your setup cost is $0. (Digitizing is the process of converting your logo into an embroidery file — most shops bill $40–$75 for it. We don't.)
How Fast Can You Get Custom T-Shirts in Boise?
Standard production for most custom t-shirt orders runs 5–7 business days from art approval. That covers the majority of what we print — small business orders, youth sports teams, work uniforms, event shirts.
Rush is available. Same-day turnaround is possible for in-stock blanks with print-ready artwork. Overnight and 48-hour rush are the most common request we get from Boise-area customers who have an event that snuck up on them. (It happens more than you'd think, especially around the Boise State home opener or a last-minute company picnic.)
Because we're located in Meridian — about 12 miles from downtown Boise — local pickup is an option. No shipping wait, no transit risk. You can be wearing your shirts the same day we finish them.
What Do You Need to Get Started?
You don't need a finalized design. Many of our Boise and Treasure Valley customers come to us with a rough idea or a logo on a business card, and we help them get print-ready from there. Here's what speeds things up:
- A vector file (.ai, .eps, .svg) or high-res PNG of your logo is ideal. If you don't have one, we can work with what you have.
- Your shirt color preference and quantity range — even a rough estimate helps us quote accurately.
- Your deadline. If you have a hard date, tell us upfront and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit it.
No artwork? No problem. Our in-house team can create a design from scratch or clean up an existing logo. Custom design work is quoted separately, but it's a service we offer regularly for Nampa small businesses, Kuna sports teams, Eagle restaurants, and everyone in between.
Why Boise-Area Customers Choose Eagle Ridge
We're not the only print shop in the Treasure Valley, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can tell you is what makes us different in practice, not just on a website:
- No minimums on most orders. Order one shirt. Order three. We won't turn you away.
- No setup fees. Ever. What you see in the quote is what you pay.
- Free digitizing on your first embroidery run — saves you $40–$75 compared to most shops.
- 4.9 stars on Google across 51 reviews, most from Boise, Meridian, and Nampa customers.
- Same-day rush available when you need it fast and we have the blank in stock.
- Local pickup in Meridian — no waiting on a UPS truck when you're 12 miles away.
Typical order for context: 24 company polos, two-color embroidered chest logo, two-week turn. That's a standard small-business job for us. We run that kind of order every week for Treasure Valley contractors, medical offices, and hospitality teams. It's not complicated — it just needs to be done right.

How We Make This Stuff
Everything covered in this post is produced in our Meridian, Idaho shop at 2700 E Lanark St. Eagle Ridge Apparel is a family-run print shop serving the Treasure Valley since 2019 — we embroider, screen print, DTF, sublimate, laser-cut leather patches, laser-engrave drinkware, and UV-print promotional goods on equipment we operate ourselves. No outsourced decoration, no overseas fulfillment, no third-party middlemen.
Most custom apparel orders ship in 7–10 business days from approved mockup. Rush production in 3–5 business days is available on most decoration methods; embroidered hats are the tightest constraint. We hold no minimums on any decoration type — order one piece or one thousand — though pricing scales aggressively over 50, 100, and 250-piece tiers. Free digital mockups before production starts. We don't begin a run until you sign off on what it'll look like.
Two ways to order: design it yourself online in our designer tool (any quantity, any decoration method), or request a custom quote and we'll send back pricing within one business day. Talk to a real person — email info@eagleridgeapparel.com or send us a message, and most inquiries get a response within two hours during the business day.
