Pricing on DTF depends on print size, not color count. A left-chest logo (roughly 4" × 4") runs less than a full back print (up to 13" × 17"). Typical order for a Treasure Valley small business: 24 shirts, one left-chest logo, one full-back design. Almost anything. Cotton and poly-cotton blends are the most common substrates we print on. 100% polyester performance wear works well — which makes DTF a strong choice for athletic teams and outdoor-industry companies across the Treasure Valley. Nylon jackets, canvas tote bags, and denim also take DTF transfers cleanly.
The one surface to be cautious about is heavily textured or ribbed fabric, where the transfer has less flat contact. Chunky waffle-knit or open-mesh jerseys can produce edges that don't bond as crisply. For those, embroidery is usually the better call.
