The single biggest cause of order delays is a file that isn't print-ready. DTF works best with PNG files at 300 DPI or higher, transparent background, and RGB color mode. If your logo is a low-resolution JPEG pulled from a website, we'll flag it before printing — we don't just run a blurry file and hope you don't notice.
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are ideal because they scale without losing quality. If you only have a vector, we convert it to a raster for printing at no charge. If your file genuinely isn't usable, we'll let you know within a few hours of submission and either help you fix it or quote a redraw.

If your logo has gradients, thin lines, or more than four colors, DTF reproduces it cleaner and cheaper than embroidery. Embroidery wins on texture and perceived quality. A polo shirt with an embroidered chest logo reads differently than a printed one — it's heavier, more dimensional, and holds up to industrial washing better than any print. How long do DTF prints last?
With proper care, DTF prints hold up for 50+ wash cycles without significant fading or cracking. Wash inside-out in cold water, skip the dryer or use low heat, and don't dry-clean. The transfer is heat-bonded to the fibers, so it's durable — but like any decorated garment, it lasts longer with a little care.
Do you print the blank shirts too, or do I supply them?
Either works. Eagle Ridge carries blanks from Bella+Canvas, Gildan, Next Level, and several other brands and can source specific styles on request. If you have existing inventory you want decorated — company polos you already own, for example — bring them in or ship them to us and we'll print on your blanks.
What's the difference between DTF and heat transfer vinyl (HTV)?
HTV is cut from sheets of colored vinyl and pressed onto fabric, which works fine for simple one- or two-color designs but can't reproduce gradients or photo-realistic art.
