The design specs that actually work
Color: Neon orange, neon yellow, or bright lime green. Those are your three. Avoid red (it reads as alarming in a panic moment, and honestly, it blends with a lot of zoo signage) and avoid blue entirely — too many people wearing it on any given day.
Front print: School name in big block letters, at least 8 inches wide. Not the mascot. Not a cute graphic. The school name, so any adult in the building knows exactly who that kid belongs to.
