Quick answerSummer church camp shirts for girls camp, high adventure, and boys' camp programs run $9–$18 per piece depending on quantity and decoration method, with name personalization on the back available for $1–$2 per shirt via DTF. Orders of 40–120 pieces are standard, and most coordinators in Meridian, Nampa, and the wider Treasure Valley submit by mid-April to have shirts in hand a week before camp. Eagle Ridge Apparel in Meridian, ID handles all three camp types with no minimums and free digitizing on your first run — reach out to get a quote and mockup within one business day.
Every spring, we get a wave of youth ministry coordinators walking in around late March — ward camp directors from Meridian and Eagle, troop leaders from Nampa, family camp organizers juggling 200-person rosters. They all have the same three questions: how much, how fast, and can you put names on the back. The answer to all three is yes, and this post walks through exactly what camp shirts cost, when to order them, and what actually works for each type of camp.
Girls camp shirts (June–early July)
Most girls camp orders run 40–120 pieces. The standard design is a theme tee with the year on the front, and a lot of coordinators add each girl's name on the back via DTF. That name personalization runs $1–$2 per piece added to the base cost of $9–$15 per shirt at 50+ pieces. Totally worth it — the girls love it, and it's honestly one of the easiest upgrades to add.
Timing matters here. If your camp week is late June, you want to have your count and design submitted by mid-April at the latest. We typically see girls camp coordinators come in around March with a theme and a rough roster, which is perfect. That gives us time to do a mockup, get your approval, and have shirts in your hands a week before camp.

Boys' high adventure shirts (July)
High adventure trips are a different animal. The groups are smaller, usually 8–24 youth plus leaders, but the designs tend to be more specific: trip location, elevation gain, the route name, maybe a motto on the back. Shirts run $12–$18 per piece at 12+ pieces, with DTF or screen print depending on how many colors you're working with.
Order by early May for a July trip. We say that every year because high adventure coordinators almost always wait until the itinerary is locked before they think about shirts, and by then it's June. You don't need a finalized itinerary to start the art — just the trip name and a rough design direction. We can adjust details later.
Boys' summer camp shirts
Separate from high adventure, boys' summer camp orders run similar to girls camp: 40–100 pieces, camp theme plus year, $9–$15 per shirt at 50+ pieces. The design approach is usually sportier or more outdoors-oriented, but the production process and timing are the same. Mid-April order date for a June or July camp week.
Family camp shirts (August)
Family camp orders are the biggest of the season. We're talking 100–400 pieces across a full sizing range — 2T through adult 3XL — and often with a color-per-family-unit system where every family picks a different color but everyone gets the same design. (We run multi-color same-design orders all the time; it's not complicated on our end, just make sure you send us a clean list of who gets what color.)
Base cost runs $8–$14 per shirt at 100+ pieces. The bulk economics help a lot at family camp volumes. Order by May for an August camp and you'll have plenty of time, but we can also turn these around on a tighter window if needed.
Scout troop summer camp shirts
We make troop-specific camp shirts with your troop number, camp location, and whatever design you want. One thing to know: we don't use "Boy Scouts" or "Cub Scouts" in the art because those are BSA-registered trademarks, so we keep the language troop-specific. Pricing runs $11–$17 per shirt at 24+ pieces with DTF, and there's no extra setup fee for per-troop personalization like troop numbers or leader names.
Mixed sizing across one order
Camp orders almost always span the full size range. Send us a roster with each camper's size and we produce the full run together — no upcharge, no separate setup for youth versus adult sizes. Just one order, one delivery.
Staff and counselor differentiation
A lot of camp coordinators order counselor and staff shirts in a different blank color than camper shirts. Same design, different color so kids can spot the adults easily. This costs nothing extra on the setup side since you're running the same design, just on different blanks. Simple and it works.
When to order across the season
Here's the general calendar we tell camp coordinators every spring. Order girls camp and boys' summer camp shirts in April for June and July dates. Get family camp shirts submitted in May for August. High adventure trips that solidify late can usually be ordered in June, but the earlier the better. Standard production is 10–14 business days. Rush is 5–7 days. Either way, build in 4–6 weeks before your camp week and you won't be stressed.

Frequently asked
How much do summer church camp shirts cost per person?
Girls camp and boys camp shirts run $9–$15 per shirt at 50+ pieces; high adventure shirts run $12–$18 per shirt at 12+ pieces. Adding each participant's name to the back via DTF costs $1–$2 per piece on top of the base price.
When should I order camp shirts to get them in time?
For any camp week in late June or July, submit your count and design by mid-April at the latest. You don't need a finalized roster or itinerary to start — just a rough piece count and design direction, and details can be adjusted before production begins.
Can you put individual names on the back of camp shirts?
Yes — name personalization is done via DTF and runs $1–$2 per piece added to the base shirt cost. It's one of the most common add-ons for girls camp orders and can be set up once your roster is confirmed, even if that's a few weeks after the initial order is placed.
How We Make This Stuff
Everything covered in this post is produced in our Meridian, Idaho shop at 2700 E Lanark St. Eagle Ridge Apparel is a family-run print shop serving the Treasure Valley since 2019 — we embroider, screen print, DTF, sublimate, laser-cut leather patches, laser-engrave drinkware, and UV-print promotional goods on equipment we operate ourselves. No outsourced decoration, no overseas fulfillment, no third-party middlemen.
Most custom apparel orders ship in 7–10 business days from approved mockup. Rush production in 3–5 business days is available on most decoration methods; embroidered hats are the tightest constraint. We hold no minimums on any decoration type — order one piece or one thousand — though pricing scales aggressively over 50, 100, and 250-piece tiers. Free digital mockups before production starts. We don't begin a run until you sign off on what it'll look like.
Two ways to order: design it yourself online in our designer tool (any quantity, any decoration method), or request a custom quote and we'll send back pricing within one business day. Talk to a real person — email info@eagleridgeapparel.com or send us a message, and most inquiries get a response within two hours during the business day.
